I thought I'd post another update on Patrick. He is up to 33 pounds and underwent an endoscopy yesterday to remove an obstruction in his stomach, which turned out to be a hardened mass of hair. He also had some dental work and was neutered. He pulled through like a champ!

It's amazing how much press this little guy has garnered. My hope is that the increased awareness will lead to tougher animal cruelty laws, not just in New Jersey, but across the country. No animal deserves what Patrick went through.
Save a life, adopt a shelter pet!

OH MY GOSH. He's put on so much weight! I've been watching these updates since the first one you linked to. With all the offers to adopt him that I've seen, no doubt he'll go to someone amazing who will make up for what he's been through.
Kelley, isn't it wonder? I've heard that someone from the hospital has asked to adopt him. He is not ready for adoption yet, but my hope is that when he is, that person will be able to give him his forever home. I think he deserves to be with someone he's already comfortable with and it's obvious from the videos and photos that he's comfortable with the hospital staff.
Kelly, that should have said 'isn't it wonderful'. My clumsy fingers strike again! :)
My heart smiles at this! I agree, I hope he goes with someone from the hospital. He's already been through so much, would love to see him go to someone he's already comfortable with. (Hugs)Indigo
