Kaleidotrope and Ice Picks Anthology

I've returned from the World Horror Convention (And yes, I will be posting about it, but not until I've unpacked my suitcase and my brain.) to find that my short story, In Exchange for Sorrow, has been published in the spring edition of Kaleidotrope. Here is a teaser, if you will:

Lilita did not get her wings at ten, as expected. Nor at eleven.

And as if that's not enough, the anthology, Ice Picks: Most Chilling Stories from the Ice Plaza, has been released from Rainstorm Press in digital format. Print will soon follow.

This anthology includes my short story, A Tear on the Cheek of the Frozen. Here is a tiny excerpt:

Papa said the first ice hotel was built a long, long time ago, long before he met Eva’s mother. Every year they built a new one, and every spring it melted away, back into the river.

This anthology, edited by S. S. Michaels, also includes work from Jeremy C. Shipp, Caleb J. Ross, Robert R. Best, David Dunwoody, Todd Austin Hunt, John Edward Lawson, Cate Gardner, and Stacey Graham.
