Horrorfind and Ink
The galleys for Ink are starting to make their way out into the world, which is both exciting and terrifying. In truth, there is still a part of me that thinks this is all some sort of crazy surreal dream. I imagine this feeling will remain in place until release day. Ink was even mentioned in Publishers Weekly's Genreville, along with Sabrina Vourvoulias’s novel of the same name and Jocelynn Drake’s Angel’s Ink.
And I will be at Horrorfind Weekend in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania at the end of the month. (August 31st - September 2nd) along with several other Samhain Horror authors. There will be readings and signings and I have temporary tattoos with Ink's cover art to give away. If you're attending the convention, please stop by and say hello!

Playing Catch Up: Readercon, Ink, and Short Story News
Once again, I've been neglecting the blog. I have good reason - working on a new novel, final edits on Ink - but still, neglect is neglect.
I had a fabulous time at Readercon, however, others were not so lucky. By now, I'm sure you've heard about it, but if not, here is a link that will fill you in: Readercon Harassment
It's a dreadful situation, and no matter how wonderful the convention was, I will not go back until I feel certain that the policies in place will be enforced if something should happen to anyone else.
On a positive note, I've sold a short story entitled Dysphonia in D Minor to Strange Horizons, and the anticipated publication date is early 2013.
And on an Ink related note, its release date is four months away. I'm not quite sure how it happened so fast and it still feels rather surreal, but excitement is starting to overshadow the unreal. And nervousness, too. Lots and lots of nervousness.
